Measures covered by the Green Deal

1. Wall insulation

Over 30% of total heat in an uninsulated house is lost through walls. Cavity wall or solid wall insulation can help you save up £350 on your bills by keeping heat inside for longer. Measures eligible for Green Deal:

  • Cavity wall insulation
  • External solid wall insulation
  • Internal solid wall insulation

2. Lighting

  • Lighting fittings
  • Lighting controls

3. Building fabric

  • Draught proofing
  • Floor insulation
  • Heating system insulation
  • Energy efficient glazing and doors

4. Micro generation

Generating your own energy through new technologies will help you save money and reduce carbon emissions (these technologies capture energy and transfer it into electricity or heat):

  • Solar PV
  • Biomass Boilers
  • Micro CHP

5. Loft insulation

Loft insulation can help keep the heat inside your living space for longer and reduce your energy demand. Measures you can install through the Green Deal:

  • Loft insulation
  • Flat roof insulation

6. Water heating

  • Innovative hot water systems
  • Water efficient taps and showers

7. Boilers, hot water and heating systems

Older boilers are less efficient as they loose a lot of heat. Upgrade your boiler to a high-efficiency condensing boiler or ground and air heat source pump to save money on your bills. Measure under the Green Deal:

  • Condensing boilers
  • Heating controls
  • Heat recovery systems
  • Flue gas recovery devices
  • Ground and air heat source pumps
  • Innovative hot water systems
  • Water efficient taps and showers
  • Under-floor
